TANGKHUL SHANAO LONG
Tangkhul Shanao Long (TSL) is a mass based Women’s organization of the Trans boundary Indigenous Tangkhul Naga Community in India and Myanmar. Born out of collective vision aftermath the atrocities committed by the Indian army with the implementation of the Indian black law the “Armed Forces Special Power Act” (AFSPA 1958) which provided special power to the armed personnel to search, arrest or shot any suspect without warrant and with complete impunity, TSL was founded in the year 1974.

Our Mission is to enhance women’s potential for integration of knowledge and experiences for strengthening our relationship with land and people.
As the central organization for women of our community, we focus on a wide range of initiatives aimed at defending human rights, Protection and Promotion of cultural values and heritages, transfer of knowledge to the younger generations, community well-being, and response to emerging situations. We advocate for social justice and Network with organizations and individuals with shared vision. Our commitment is to create a nurturing environment where every woman can thrive and contribute to the growth and prosperity in the society.
